Norec Grant for Work Exchange Cooperation

Norec provides grants for work exchanges between partners in Norway and countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The goal is to promote sustainable development through work exchange, and the scheme gives young professionals the opportunity to gain international experience. To qualify for the grant, you must have a partner organization in one of Norec’s partner countries.

​The application process consists of two connected phases:

Phase 1 - Concept Note
Phase 2 - Implementation of the project

Development of the project idea Applicants must apply together as a partnership. The applicants must submit a brief description of their project idea to Norec. If the idea is approved, the partnership will receive funding to meet in person and further develop the idea. Norec provides guidance and training on how to collaborate effectively with an international partner and how to plan a successful exchange project.

Phase 2 - Implementation of the project

When Phase 1 has been completed, the partnership can apply for a work exchange. If the application is approved, the partners will receive funding to carry out an exchange project.
